Organic Waste Collection at Your Doorstep

On April 22 (Earth Day 2025!), Elements will start a weekly curbside collection program for households in Salida, CO.

• We'll provide a 5-gallon bucket and weekly collection service
  
• We'll provide free compostable liners to help keep your bucket clean
  
• We'll collect 1 bag of yard waste each week, or you can drop off yard waste for free at our facility
  
• We'll be accepting meat, bones and dairy products (only for curbside customers, not drop-off customers) in addition to food waste and compostable products.
  
• Curbside service is just $32/month
  
• Don't fill a bucket every week?  Request a service skip and receive a $3 credit, up to $12 off per month!

This pilot project is made possible by the City of Salida's Sustainability Committee and funds collected through the bag fees at local grocery stores.  If the program is successful in Salida, we'll work to expand it in other areas soon!
